It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister Anna 'Geri' Addicott on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Florence (MacDonald) MacNeil.
Geri was known for her love of animals, particularly her cats.
She is survived by her three brothers, Aaron (Fely) MacNeil, Karl (Theresa) MacNeil, both of Glace Bay, Edward MacNeil of Toronto; several cousins including Anita MacDonald, to whom she was very close; nephews Jason (Allie) and Ian (Jennifer).
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Robert.
Visitation will take place today (Thursday, Jan. 22) from 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Glace Bay Funeral Home, 775 Main St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 23, 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. The Rev Norman MacPhee will be officiating. The interment will follow in St John’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
