Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Pleasantville Terrace, St. Luke's Home, Doreen Elizabeth Courage (nee Chafe), age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Clar; parents: Arnold and Gertrude; brother Donald. Leaving to celebrate her life are daughter Linda; son Wayne (Rev. Lynn); beloved grandchildren: Justin, Tyler and Rebecca; sister Marion Chafe; Aunt Vera Chafe; brother-in-law Ralph Courage (Selena); sister-in-law Agnes Courage; along with a large circle of family, friends and her caregivers at St. Luke's. Nan had a wonderful sense of humour and lived life to the fullest. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to various ministries - St. Mary's Sunday School, Anglican Church Women, C.L.B. Ladies Auxiliary. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25. Funeral service to take place from Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
