(nee Newell) Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness on March 23, 2008 at St. Luke's Home, aged 94 years. Predeceased by her first husband Jack Martin, husband Edgar George, brothers: Jack, Joseph, William, Ronald, and Fred Newell and one sister, Jennie (North). Left with fond and loving memories, three children :Eric (Jean) Martin of Alberta, Gary (Joanne) Barfitt of New Brunswick, Jean (Clyde) Brown of Alberta. Nine grandchildren, seven Great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also two sisters, Dorothy (Matt) Breen of Mt. Pearl and Florence Nivens of Branson, MO. Special niece Barbara (Jim) Hierlihy, and a large circle of friends and relatives. Special thanks to her caregivers at Pleasantview Terrace, St. Luke's Home. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday , March 25 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday March 26 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road.
