It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Lundrigan on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late George and Alfreda (Gosse) Lundrigan.
Ed was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas. He worked and retired from Sydney Steel.
Surviving are his only son, Philip (Shirley Ryan), Ft. McMurray; two grandchildren, Jocelyn (Bryan) Routhier, Ft. McMurray and Colin Lundrigan, Ontario; two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Trenton Routhier; sisters, Margaret Myers and Belle Duffney, Sydney; brothers, Fred (the late Linda), Greenwood, N.S., Gordon, Sydney and Allister (Helen), Sydney.
Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his wife, Christine (Campbell); sisters, Louise and Dorothy; brothers, John and William.
A memorial service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Whitney Pier on Friday 11 a. m., with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment in Eastmount Cemetery.
