The family of the late Gerald McHugh would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all whose kindness, support, and caring helped ease our heartbreak upon the recent passing of our precious husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

We are eternally thankful for all who called, travelled to the funeral from out of town, wrote online condolences, sent food, sympathy cards and Mass cards, made donations in Gerald's name to the Alzheimer’s Society, Sacred Heart Church, and the WMRH Foundation, shared heartwarming memories, and simply lent their consoling presence as we went through this very difficult time.

Thank you to Father Don Leonard and Rev. David Cook, the honorary pallbearers, Walter Vincent, the Griffin Family, the Sacred Heart Folk Choir, the Sacred Heart Bereavement Group, the altar servers, CBC Corner Brook, the Staff of Urology of WMRH and Dr. Carl Sparrow, who treated Gerald with such dignity and kindness throughout his illness, Donna Mitchell, his devoted and kind Home care worker, and all those who attended and participated in Gerald's funeral. We are grateful to Fillatre's Funeral Home for their compassion and professionalism.

While it would be impossible to list everyone by name, please know that every word and act of consolation did not go unnoticed. Your kindness and warmth in our time of overwhelming grief will never, ever be forgotten. God bless you all.
