HANN, Rose – (nee Benoit)
1959 -2015
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Rose Hann, born in Stephenville, NL, peacefully at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto, surrounded by family and friends on January 25, 2015 at the age of 55. Beloved mother of Kristin Pike of NYC.
Rose was predeceased by her father Bernard and her brother Anthony. Rose will remain in the hearts and will be sadly missed by her mother – Agnes Benoit, brothers , Richard Benoit (Linda), Llewellyn Benoit (Leona), Clinton Benoit, sisters - Joyce Benoit (Alton), Ruby Brake (Art) , and nephews – Tim, Terrell, Trevor, Robbie, David, Daryl, Jason, & Bryan and nieces – Beverly, Kim, Allison & Jennifer all of Stephenville, NL.
An important part of Rose’s life was centred around her daughter Kristin and her love and support was endless. Rose loved to be loved and indeed she was and is by everybody that knew her. Rose’s genuine east coast smile, slapstick sense of humour, contagious laugh, boundless energy, and beautiful, warm heart were all as large as Newfoundland itself. Rose has very successfully transferred these wonderful traits to Kristin. Rose was inspirational and valued immensely especially by her many friends and colleagues at Maxxam Analytics and GE Information Technologies and she will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place at the Waterside Inn, 15 Stavebank Road South in Port Credit, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday January 29, 2015 with Eulogy at 6:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted at the Waterside Inn and donations to the Canadian Blood Services will be accepted at the Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral home website http://www.skinnerandmiddlebrook.com
