It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing for Donald Bruce Pratt, on Jan. 27, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Tom and Margaret (Ferguson) Pratt.
Donnie was a hard working man, who was loved by all who knew him. He was the manager of Scotia Recycling, a position he was very proud of, up to his retirement.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife Joyce (MacLeod); children, Tracy Pratt (Johnny MacIsaac), Kelly (Jamie) Peach and Donnie Pratt (Gail Collette); grandchildren, Jordan, Shvonne, Shelby, Mariah, Samantha, James, and Jessica. Donnie is also survived by his siblings, Judy Baker, Bruce Pratt (Melinda Aucoin), Douglas (Donna) Pratt.
Besides his parents Donnie was predeceased by his sisters, Emily and Peggy Pratt, brothers, Allan Alex Robert, Tommy and Phil Pratt. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law John Baker.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at 11 a.m., in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
