DOUCETTE, LILLIAN
On February 1st, 2015, at the age of 87, Lily, beloved wife of Hubert (Gabe) Doucette of Plaster Rock for nearly 63 years, went peacefully home to the God she loved so deeply. She was the daughter of the late Louis Christensen and Alice Dufour.
She was mom to Gregg (Mavis), Eric (Terri), Tim (Laura), Shelley (Rick) and Jeff (Sandy). She was grammie Lily to Sara, Beckie, Stephanie, Amy, Beth, Jamie, Melissa, Shelsey, Mandy and Alisha. She was great grammie to Ben, James, Sam, Gabrielle, Matthew, Emma, Warren, Cole, Daniel, Owen, Liam, Kristen. Sister to Pat, John, Grace and Gertie.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Gilbert, Mildred, Irene and Andrew.
Lily was very active in her church community of St. Thomas Aquinas, being a Past-President of the Daughters of Isabella, a Pastoral Agent for six years, a member of the church choir and a lector. She was also a member of the Voluntas Dei Institute for 35 years. She donated crocheted work to her church and her community for various fund raisers over the years.
Visitation will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Plaster Rock on Wednesday, February 4th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with Parish prayers and sharing of stories at 8:30 pm. There will also be visitation on Thursday from 10 to 11 am. Her funeral service will be Thursday, February 5th at 11 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church followed by lunch in the church hall.
