ALLEN, HELEN ELIZABETH JANE
Helen Elizabeth Jane Allen the wife of the late James A Allen, passed away on February 2, 2015 at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John. Born in Saint John on May 9, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Alvina (Scofield) Burnside.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by a son, Eugene Douglas Allen and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughter Carol Ann Price; step-daughter Dora Watson; six sons, Filmore, James (Linda Mullen), Kenneth (Judy), Gary (Cindy), Sterling (Celine), Richard (Lisa), sisters, Mabel Richards, Vi Allan and Joy Collins; twenty two grandchildren, several great, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Helen is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, February 5 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday, February 6, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at Mosher Hill Cemetery, St. Martins in the spring.
