Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, aged 86 years, at Eastern Health Long Term Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family, Leaving to morn are her loving husband of 66 years Nathaniel and her children, Bill Smith (Daphne), Sheila Fruehwirth, Valerie Davis (Gerry), and Natalie Crann; her grandchildren Kristen Smith (Jeremiah Sabine), Mitchell Smith, Sharada and Natasha Crann, and Adam Davis. Predeceased by her mother, Maria (Smith) Newhook and father William Newhook, mother-in-law Alice (Warren) Smith and father-in-law Nathaniel Smith; brother-n-laws Tom Peddle and Samuel Smith and sister-in-law Hazel (Farrel) Smith; and nephew Harry Smith. Special thanks to her caregivers over the past three years at Escasoni Home and more recently Eastern Health Facility. Visitations will be held at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Normans Cove, on Thursday and Friday Feb 5 and 6, from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm each day. Funeral service to take place on Saturday Feb 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm from Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Normans Cove. Interment will follow at the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
