NEW GLASGOW – Anne Frances “Annie” Hobin, age 82, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Fraser St., New Glasgow, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Manor.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Richard “Brother” and Mary (Meagher) Hobin.
She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and former choir member. She was a volunteer with the New Glasgow Music Festival. She and her mother could be seen walking around town selling Lotto tickets. In later years, she helped raise funds for the Glen Haven Manor Bus.
She is survived by cousins: Art “Artie” (Barbara) Flynn, Seabright, NS; Clyde “Clydie” (Joan) Flynn, Edmonton, AB; Barbara Hamilton, Enfield, NS; Annie Drew, Halifax, NS; close friend, Mildred Ranahan; her family at Glen Haven Manor.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
Funeral mass and burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
