RICHARD, GUY
Guy E. Richard, 83 years old, of Moncton, passed away on January 31, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born December 27, 1931 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alphée and Eva (LeBlanc) Richard.
Guy was a past employee of L’Évangéline newspaper and of Maritime Press. He enjoyed spending time with his special friends and his loving family. Although not a carpenter by trade, Guy did many renovation projects for his family and all loved his meticulous work.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Lina (née Bourque); four children: Donald, Denise (Dave Gollan), Michel and Luc; three grandchildren whom he adored: Paul, Christine and Danielle; his son-in-law, Mark Bell; his sisters: Colombe and Clémentine as well as several nephews and nieces.
Guy was predeceased by his daughter Jacqueline; his sister Phyllis Léger; his brothers: Léo, Gérard and Louis.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, February 7th. A brief funeral service will be held at the end of each visiting period.
In memory of Guy, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Doctors Without Borders or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
