Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 of Emmett Thomas Beagan, age 74 years.
Predeceased by his parents, Everett Owen and Margaret; his brother, Everett Bernard (Joan); and sister, Mary (late Jack).
He leaves to mourn his long-time companion, Anna White, and his siblings, Elizabeth Power (Jim), Elmo (Margie), Beryl Burke (Lorne), Peggy Coady Compton (late Simon), Maureen McAdams (late Gerald), Eileen and Eleanor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He had a loving relationship with Anna White's children, Frank, Anna Mae, Susan and David. Emmett was Grampy to Amanda, Stephanie, Frank, James, David, Ashley and Vanessa.
Emmett enjoyed many years on the Atlantic waters as a boatswain with the Canadian Coast Guard and Marine Atlantic at Borden.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
