It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Legge announce his passing after a brief illness at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 56 years, Millicent (nee Fudge); son Tony (Karen Robertson); daughter Paulette (Lloyd Evans), all of Corner Brook; grand-daughters Melissa (Ben), Calgary and Erica (Andrew), St. John's; step-grandson Albert, Corner Brook; brother Arch (Mary), Corner Brook; sister Henrietta Nelson, Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially his bowling family at Centre Bowl, where he bowled with his buddies for 50 years. Gordon was inducted into the NF Bowling Hall of Fame in 2007, an honour he was immensely proud of. He was predeceased by parents Belle nee: Gabriel (1978) and Victor Gordon Legge Sr. (1987) and his half-brother Walter Harris. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by the Very Reverend Baxter Park. In keeping with Gordon's wishes, cremation will take place with interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund or the charity of one's choice.
