Passed peacefully away at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility, on Thursday February 5th, 2015 Carrie (Caines) Hodder, aged 99 years. Carrie was born in Great Jarvis on November 7th, 1915, the only daughter of Alexander and Edith May Caines. Predeceased by her husband Walter Hodder (1993) and 6 of her 7 brothers. Leaving to mourn their sad loss are sons: Jim (Catherine) and John (Mary Pike). Also mourning their loss are her 5 grandchildren: Cheryl (David Schnegg), Jim Hodder, Thomas Hodder (Nicola Shave), Carla (Mike Drake) and Jill Hodder and 6 great-grandchildren: Eric Schnegg, Abigail Hodder, Meghan Hodder, Jack and Kate Drake and Chloe Stamp; brother, James Caines (Theresa) of Truro, NS. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday, February 7th and Sunday February 8th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 9th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Anglican Cathedral.
