LAUDER, PAULINE V. COX
AUGUSTA, MAINE - Pauline V. Cox Lauder, age 89, of Ridgewood Drive, Augusta, Maine, died January 27, 2015 at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Gray Birch Drive, Augusta, after a brief illness. She was born in Dipper Harbor, N.B., Canada on Sept. 27, 1925 the daughter of Hugh Campbell and Rena (Thompson) Campbell.
Pauline was a graduate of St. John High School in St. John N.B., Canada and later attended secretarial school in Canada. She moved to Maine in 1958.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by East Augusta Federal Credit Union for many years. She was previously employed by Canadian Fairbanks Moore in Canada. Pauline attended South Parish Congregational Church UCC in Augusta. She loved speed skating and enjoyed playing Bridge at the Cohen Center in Hallowell.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Cox, by her parents, by a brother, Clifford Campbell, and two sisters, Alice Campbell and Phyllis Kennedy.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Campbell Lajousky, her husband William Lajousky III of Jakarta, Indonesia, and their children William IV and Duncan Edward; and Lisa Joanna Roberts, her husband John L. Roberts of Augusta and her daughter Miette Nicole Savage; three sisters: Hazel Stephens of St. John, N.B., Canada, Annie Totten of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Virginia Thompson of Nepean, Ontario, Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There are no public visiting hours scheduled. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor, Maine in the Spring. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One #2C, Scarborough, ME 04074 are preferred.
