It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Cyril Clement Paul French on Thursday February 5th 2015 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and soulmate of fifty-six years Grace (Keough) who was always by his side; daughters: Pauline (Roger Downer) and Jeannie (Kevin O'Regan); his grandchildren: who he loved with all his heart Kyle and Kelsey Downer; Daniel and Timothy O'Regan. Also leaving to mourn his siblings: Shirley Rex (Bob - deceased), Joan Williams (John- deceased) and John French (Jean); in laws Leo Fewer, Ralph and Gladys Keough, Genevieve Moss (Harvey - deceased), Wince and Betty Pear, Ken and Marjorie Foster, Nora and Freeman Biggen, Marguerite Keough (Charlie- deceased), Katherine Keough (Eddie- deceased), Gail and Jarvis Payne and especially Joe and Alice Keough who were particularly supportive. He also leaves to mourn a wide circle of family and friends especially Gerald and Nancy Warren who he always considered family. Predeceased by his parents: William and Mary French,parents in law Nicholas and Ella Keough brothers John, Bruce, Gerard, Kevin, William and sisters: Jean Griffin, Gertrude McHugh and Sheila Fewer. Resting at Fillatres Funeral, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Corner Brook from 7-9 pm Saturday, February 7th and from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday, February 8th. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue.
