It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our sister and aunt Georgina Marion DeCoste, age 88, on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Northside Community Guest Home.
Born in Florence, Georgina was the daughter of the late George and Annie (Sullivan) Hilliard.
She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. #19, Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Legion Senior Dart League. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, North Sydney.
Georgina is survived by her sister Alice Dunphy, North Sydney and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd DeCoste, by her daughter Lillian Darlene, her sisters, Wilena, Edna, Jeanette, Evelyn, by her brothers, Patrick, Raymond, Harry, Leslie, Silby and Daniel.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Northside Community Guest Home, also Dr. Mary Hutchinson for the excellent care given to Georgina during the past number of years.
At this time by request there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
