It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lee Knorr on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Orchard View LTC in Gagetown, New Brunswick. Lee was born in Blissville, NB on February 3, 1928 to the late Peleg and Violet (Carr) Knorr.
Lee worked most of his career in Building Management with NB Tel when he retired on June 29, 1993, he is also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed listening to music and would travel around NB to enjoy the various local artists. Lee was Anglican by faith and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 55.
Survived by his two daughters; Nancy Smith (Bob), Durham, NB, Brenda VanWart (Bill), McLeod Hill, NB, a son; Glenwood Knorr (Chris), Calgary, AB, a brother; Vaughn Knorr (Darlene) Burton, NB, seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Lee is predeceased by his ex-wife Aldea (Legacy) Knorr, two sisters; Agnus Miller, Gertrude Davenport, two brothers; Shirley Knorr, Robert Knorr and one great-grandchild.
Visitations will take place at Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 4 to 7pm. Graveside memorial service will take place in spring.
Donation may be made in memory of Lee to the Orchard View Long Term Care, in Gagetown, NB or a charity of the donor’s choice.
