Guthro, Margaret Geraldine “Gerry”, 89 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Lavinia Street passed away February 9, 2015 in the manor.
Born in Stellarton she was a daughter of the late Whitfield and Harriett(MacNeil)Munro.
She is survived by sons, Wayne Jollimore (Barb), Stellarton; Danny Guthro (Debbie), Stellarton; Sandy Guthro, New Glasgow; a daughter Tami Guthro, Halifax; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother Sandy Munro (Joan), Halifax; 2 sisters, Jean Chisholm, Stellarton; Claire (Jerry) Young, Dartmouth.
She was predeceased by her husband Daniel, a son William in infancy, a sister Molly Munro.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday from the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding.
Cremation to take place.
Burial of ashes will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow at a later date.
Donations in memory of Gerry may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
