Passed peacefully away after a short battle with heart disease on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family, Ronald H. Chafe aged 89 years. Predeceased by parents: Gilbert and Mabel Chafe, sisters: Lillian O'Reilly (Will) and Gladys Chafe, brothers: Douglas (Kay), Fred (Claudene), Ernest Chafe and Arthur Chafe; granddaughter: Danielle Chafe. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his loving wife of 61 years; Grace (nee Lee), children: Derek (Ramona), Deborah Maddox (Aiden), Yvonne, Arlene Williams (Derek) and Robert (Jen), grandchildren: Alex Chafe, Vanessa Chafe and Charlotte Chafe, Nicole Maddox and Stacey Maddox, Kristin Williams, Ashley Williams and Marc Williams and their special friends; great-grandchildren: Mia, Lillian and Carter, his special furry friends: Jax and Morka (Mulligan and Tootsie - deceased), as well as a large circle of family and friends, especially his camping buddies. Ronald was not only an avid camper, well respected school bus driver and a dairy farmer, but he was also a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00. Funeral service will take at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Goulds on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at the Presentation Anglican Cemetery, Goulds. No flowers by request.
