Hilda Lucy Pike - (August 6, 1929 - February 7, 2015) - It is with sadness that the family of the late Hilda Lucy Pike announce her passing at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, aged 85 years. Hilda leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Wilson (Beverly), Olive (Ross) Russell, Betty Watkins (Francis Peckford), Phyllis (Ron) Wheeler, Amy (John)Hawkins, Thelma (Scott) Walker, Gordon (Heather McGregor), Freeman (Kathy), Wallace (Jennette), Rose Price, Beatrice (Junior) Roberts, Terry (Tina), Lorne (Nicole) and Lynette (Brian) McFarlane; 32 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Gordon Quinlan; sisters, Clara Steele and Lillian (Hedley) Steele as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Hilda is predeceased by her husband, Henry; parents, Peter and Ida Quinlan; son-in-law, Lawrence Watkins and sister, Maria. The funeral service took place from the Pentecostal Church, Baytona on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment followed from the Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
