It is with great sadness that the family of the late Howard “Howie” Noel Richard Dyke CD announce his sudden passing on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Cuba at the age of 47 years. Loved always by his spouse Julie Couture and grandmother Sylvia Applin; dearly remembered by all his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Howard Sidney Dyke and mother Mary Dyke (nee Applin). Howard was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and served as a Military Policeman for over 29 years. He earned medals from Kuwait, Afghanistan and was awarded the Canadian Decoration, he was also awarded a Chiel of Defence Staff Commendation. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Thursday, February 12 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street, Corner Brook with The Very Rev. Baxter Park officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
