Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the South Shore Villa on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, of Charles “Hubert” Harvey of Crapaud, age 87 years. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Aletha (MacFadyen) Harvey; his children Heather (Eric) Dixon, Linda (Stephen) Hardy, Harley, Doug (Susan), Dale (Joanne), and Andrew (Tina); grandchildren Tim Dixon, Heidi (Andrew) Lawless, Ellen Hardy, Greg (Stacey) Hardy, Matthew (Tania) Hardy, Nathan (Danielle) Hardy, Cory (Sabrina) Gavin, Victoria and Megan Harvey, Danielle (Nathan Condon) Harvey, Robyn (Cory) Arsenault, and Mason and Ethan Harvey. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Eileen Hambly, Lorna (George) Nicholson, brother-in-law Gerald (Joyce) MacFadyen and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Marion (Nicholson) Harvey, infant brother George, sisters Audrey (Charles) Dunsford, Juanita (Willard) Pickering, brothers-in-law Ray Hambly, and Wendell (Grace) MacFadyen. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, with visitation Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from the South Shore United Church, Tryon, Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crapaud People’s Cemetery or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
