Evelyn (Sis) Jessie Stevens
We, the family of the late Evelyn (Sis) Stevens, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who comforted us through our most difficult time. Your overwhelming tribute to our mother will always be remembered. To those who traveled from afar, visited us, phoned, sent e-mails, sympathy and Mass cards, flowers, sent food to our homes and donations to charitable organizations and for the many prayers, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Murphy who went above and beyond the call of duty for our mother, we are forever grateful. To the 3rd floor nursing staff and all of the CCAs of Fisherman’s Cove in Harbourstone Enchanced Care Facility, thank you for the great care, compassion, and respect shown to Mom. We, the family, are forever grateful. A special thank you to Mom’s dear friend, Bertha Steele, for all you have done for Mom over the past number of years. She truly cherished your friendship Also; thanks are extended to Dolly Mills and Michelle Hardy for all of your help and assistance during our difficult time. Additional gratitude is extended to the pallbearers: grandsons, Michael and Mark MacNamara, Shaun Stevens, Adam and Brandon Hanna, Ryan and Jeff MacKinnon and Andrew MacLeod. Also, thank you to the readers, granddaughters Lindsay Reid and Katie MacLeod and brother-in-law Mike Lennon. Thank you to her grandson Michael MacNamara, for his touching Eulogy on Mom’s life. We would like to thank Father Bill Burke and the choir of St. Marguerite Bougeoys Parish (formerly St. Joseph’s Parish) for the beautiful service. Thank you to Father Albert Maroun for your kind words and prayers. Thank you to Rose Conohan for the lovely lunch served in the church foyer following the funeral. Thank you to T.W. Curry (Bill Curry and staff) for your professionalism and expertise during our difficult time. God Bless you all.
