MOGRIDGE, George – October 15, 1941 - January 15, 2009. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, January 15, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with Cancer, George Mogridge, aged 67 years. (George was a Vegetable Farmer from Goulds, NL). Leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving wife of 43 years Evelyn; daughter Bonnie Denine (Dave); three precious granddaughters: Lindsay, Kaitlin and Kristen; his son Darryl (Yvonne) and their children: Justin and Jessica; mother-in-law Hazel Warren, also a number of brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Clare’s 6 West for their compassion and care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service and private interment will be held at a later date.
