JONES, GRACE D.
1936 - 2015
Miramichi - Grace Doreen Jones, of Rennie Road, Miramichi, passed away at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, in Moncton, on February 15, 2015, at the age of 78.
Born in Douglastown, on May 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Gray) Williston. She was a homemaker; a former employee of the Village of Douglastown; the owner/operator of Shore Drive Ceramics; an active member of the Douglastown Senior Citizens Club; a member of the former St. Marks United Church as well as a member of Session of her church. She currently attended St. James Presbyterian Church, Miramichi.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Anne Turnbull (Bill), of Miramichi; four sons, Robert Jones (Sheena), of Miramichi, David Jones (Karen), of Calgary, AB, Terry Jones (Dorothy) and Brian Jones (Bev), all of Miramichi; two brothers, Chesley Williston (Myrtle), of Whitneyville and Robert (Buster) Williston (Jean), of Black ville; twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Holly, Ashley, Jayden, Alicia, Krista, Elissa, Justin, Matthew, Melanie, Matthew, Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Maddison, Charlotte. She was predeceased by her husband, George Jones; her long time companion, Lucien St. Onge; one son, James Jones; one infant daughter, Merrilee Jones.
By request there will be no visitation. A public funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 1 pm. Interment will be in St. Marks Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, N.B. Kidney foundation, Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
