HARPER, KENNETH ROBERT
1929 - 2015
Kenneth "Ken" R. Harper of Moncton passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2015 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Harper’s Settlement, he was the son of the late Charles and Nina (Robb) Harper.
Kenneth had been employed at The Moncton Hospital for over 25 years as a Stationary Engineer. He attended Mountain View United Church. Ken enjoyed doing just about anything outside, particularly in his garden and could always be found chatting with folks no matter where he and Daurice were.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Daurice (Carter), two sons; Brian (Florence) of Moncton, Douglas (Lise) of Dieppe, grandchild, Drew, brothers; Eugene of Petitcodiac, Lane (Donna) of Salisbury, Frank (Linda) of Lower Mtn. Road, Sam (Carol) of Boundary Creek and John (Barbara) of Petitcodiac, as well several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant son Robert in 1955.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Monday from 6 to 8 PM. A service celebrating Ken’s life will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11 AM with Rev. Mary MacPherson officiating. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Donations can be made to the NB Lung Association or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
