Fraser, Donald Roy “Don” – 89, Truro, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Bible Hill, Don was the son of the late Anderson and Sevilla (MacAdam) Fraser. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Don attended school in Bible Hill and Truro and graduated from Success Business College. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Truro where served on several boards and committees. He was a past member of the United Commercial Travelers. Don was employed at Blakies Garage, Nelson Motors and N.S. Trust Company where he retired from. He was a quiet and kind man and made many friends at Parkland Estates. Don is survived by Carol’s family; close friends, Gerry and Vonnie. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (2008) which left a big void in his life. Special thanks to the Parkland staff and Valerie for his care. Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24 with funeral service at 2 p.m. both from Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Rev. Dr. Frank Guinta Jr. officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation or charity of choice.
