It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sandy G. Rose announce his passing on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years, with his family by his side. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ethel of 51 years; 2 sons: Guy (Pauline) and Dennis (Tracy); 3 grandchildren: Terry (Kaitlyn), Jannell and Allison; 1 great grandchild Kody Rose; brother-in-law Hubert Short (Gladys); sister-in-law Ruby Lilly (Norman) both from Harbour Breton, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Vivian Rose, of English Harbour West, granddaughter Paula Rose of Mt. Moriah and sister-in-law Annie Pierce (Walter) of Harbour Breton. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Wednesday February 25th during the hours 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations in Sandy's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca or to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital's Cancer Unit.
