It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Dick) White on February 23, 2015, age 76 of Conception Harbour in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and John White; sister Bridgie; nephew Billy and brother-in-law Bill Murphy. Leaving to mourn his son Scott; special buddy Rose; step-son David White; as well as his three grandchildren: Jonathan, Justina and Kesha. Also leaving to mourn his brothers Jim (Marion) and Ron; and sister Joan (Bill-deceased). His four nieces: Shirley, Mickey (Louis), Tammy and Rhonda (Meril). His great nephews and nieces: Jason, Louis Jr., Gracie, Danica and Myah. Dick was a long serving member of the Iron Workers Union, Boiler Makers Union and the North Atlantic Refinery in Come By Chance. As a result of his long career, Dick made a lot of truly wonderful friends. A very special thank you to Mary and Raymond Gushue who made countless trips to St. John's and Carbonear to be at Dick's side and a further special thank you to the nurses and staff at Harbour Lodge, Carbonear for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Visitation at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Harbour, Conception Bay Highway on Tuesday, February 24th from 11am-9pm and Wednesday, February 25th from 11am-9pm. Funeral Mass at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at 10:30am.
