Arlene Willows
Willows: Arlene Florence Willows, age 66, of Tompkins, Sk. passed away February 17, 2015 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The Graveside Service was held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Tompkins Community Cemetery with Reverend Eleanor Rockabar officiating. A Memorial Tea followed the Interment Service at the Tompkins Community Hall. The Life Tribute was presented by her sister Judy Shire. The Pallbearers were Kevin Willows, Kenneth Willows, Bradley Willows, Brian Willows, Anthony Winquist and Aaron Winquist. Arlene is survived by her four boys; Kevin (Denise) and their children Anthony and Aaron; Kenneth (Phaedre-Lynn) and their children Brendan, Mariea, Ashton, Maximus and Renee; Bradley; Brian (Lisa) and their children Nicole and Tenille; sister Judy (Timothy) Shire; brother Clinton (Kelly) Anderson; many brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Brenda Holding. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Willows; parents Albert and Millie Eckart; granddaughter Sidney Willows; brothers-in-law Keith Forsyth, Kim Mignault, and Keith Willows; sister-in-law Lois Mignault; father-in-law Orville Willows and mother-in-law Frances Carlson. Arlene was born in Maple Creek on February 20, 1948. She attended school in Maple Creek and Hazlet. Arlene married Stanley Willows on November 19, 1966 at the Maple Creek United Church. She worked at the Tompkins Library and was the custodian at the Tompkins Credit Union. Arlene was a member of the Maple Creek 4-H Club and the Tompkins Friends and Neighbours Club. Arlene enjoyed dancing, gardening, drawing, painting, crocheting, camping, trips with family, reading and especially her grandchildren. Arlene was devoted to her family and spending time with her grandchildren. A very community minded person, who was involved in the community by helping out or participating. Arlene will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation to the Tompkins Cancer Fund, Box 412, Tompkins, Sk. S0N 2S0.
