It is with saddened hearts, that we announce the passing of Anita ‘Tina’ Boutilier on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the New Waterford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Benito and Myrtle (McLean) Legnaro.
Tina worked at the Met Store in Glace Bay for 10 years and later was employed for several years with the Autism Society in Sydney. She was a member of North Street Dart Club, Glace Bay. Tina loved music, dancing and being with family and friends out on the Mira. She was a very strong and compassionate lady; always concerned about the welfare of others. Her smiling face and nature will never be forgotten.
Tina is survived by her loving husband, Gussie Boutilier; two sons, Mark (Alyne), Edmonton, Christopher (Olivia), Glace Bay; three sisters, Rebecca (Gerard), Port Morien, Marlaine (Ronnie), Glace Bay; one brother, Darrell (Margie), Glace Bay; sisters and brothers-in-law.
Besides her parents, Tina was predeceased by a sister, Lillian.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass officiated by Rev. Norman MacPhee is Thursday, 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Church followed by a reception in the church hall.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
