October 1, 1946 - March 2, 2015
After a brief courageous struggle, Frances Elizabeth Caroline Neville left this world on March 2nd at the age 68 surrounded by her loving family.
Fran is survived by her son Simon and his wife Lek, her daughter Clare and her husband Richard and her grandson Spencer. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine, her brother John, her mother Marjorie, and her father Ernest. Born on October 1, 1946, in Hutton England, she married Bernard Neville on November 5, 1968 and then emigrated to Canada in 1969.
For her working career, Fran was a pioneer in computer programming for the financial sector, working as a global auditor for major Canadian banks before finishing her career with Ficom in Vancouver. In her later years, with an earnest devotion to new experiences, Fran embraced the global community by doing extensive travelling to all parts of the world. She often traveled alone but always made new friends wherever she went.
As a mother, she was both Simon and Clare's closest confidant. Unendingly she helped and guided them through life's tribulations, not only guiding to where they wanted to go, but to where she thought they should be.
Fran's eternal good spirit and amazing adventurous nature will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul's Hospital and St Mary's Hospital for their heartfelt and comforting efforts. In lieu of flowers donations in Fran's memory may be made to the Parish of St. Columba of Iona, Halfmoon Bay, Box 894 Sechelt BC V0N 3AO.
