MACLEAN, KATHLEEN ANNE
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kathleen Anne (Burke) MacLean which occurred at Kennebec Manor on Thursday, March 5th, 2015.
Born 1937, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Wilkins) Burke. Kathleen worked for Empire Shoe Rebuilders for many years. She enjoyed spending her Sunday evenings listening to the Country Jamboree. Kathleen was a Historian of Country and Western Artists from the Maritimes. She also liked to do research on special events in history.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Malcolm of 48 years; son Shawn (Lynn) of Saint John; daughter Heather (Keith) of Saint John; brother Arthur Burke of Saint John; grandchildren Jeremy, Melissa, Alex and Adam; great-grandchildren Zackariah and Jessie Jane; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her infant son Malcolm Jr.; sisters Helen McKay, Mary Burke, Eleanor Burke; brothers Robert Burke and John Burke.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, March 10th at 12:10 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
