On Monday, March 9, 2015 Dianne, Mom, Nanny passed away at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit. With her 4 children at her bedside she ended her journey with the quiet dignity of a life well-lived, well-loved and reluctantly relinquished.
Born in 1940 to the late Spurgeon and Janie (Foster) Jenkins. Loving sister to Ron Jenkins (Sylvia), Harold Jenkins (deceased) and Marie Anderson (deceased). Loving mother and mother-in-law to Linda Bradford (Bruce) of London, Ontario, Karen Lank of Ottawa, Ontario and Stephen Lank (Linda) and Lisa Fogarty of Charlottetown. Devoted grandmother to Jonathan, Julia, Joshua, Justin, Joy, Amy, Nicholas, Andrew, Patrick and Marie.
Dianne left a legacy of caring to Islanders through her 37 years at Audio Consultants Beltone. Her compassion and kindness shone through all she did and it was a final goal to ensure her beloved business would continue to prosper well into the future. Dianne was a friend to many - and she loves you all - but her lifelong friend Joyce MacCannell was especially dear to her heart, sharing memories to her hospital bed that evoked that cherished, unrestrained laughter and elevated her for a time out of her suffering. The family is forever grateful for that.
Dianne was passionate about many things; her beloved island, her family, pets, traveling, beauty, and laughing. Her faith in Jesus Christ was foundational in her life and the fruit of her faith: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and goodness was evident to all who met her.
The family would like to thank the P.E.I. Palliative team, both staff and volunteers, especially Olga who came faithfully every day. We would also like to thank Dr. Young, Dr. Pan, Dr. Baker and Dr. LeCours.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. Funeral from Community Baptist Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment later in Sherwood Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation Thursday 6-9 p.m.
