It is with immense sorrow the family of loving husband, father and grandfather William Victor Greenland Van Alstyne of Coley's Point announce his sudden passing at the age of 70. Predeceased by parents Rita and Earle Van Alstyne; parents-in-law Alfred and Chattie Snow, and brother-in-law Kenneth Snow. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his wife Doreen (nee Snow); daughters Susan (Dwayne) and JoAnne (Maxwell). Grampy will be sadly missed by eight grandchildren; Andrew and Emily Pye; Emma and Ethan Whitt; Melissa, Robyn and Maxwell King and precious new grandson William King. Also remembered by a large circle of extended family and friends. Visitation at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts, on Tuesday, March 10 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, March 11 from 10-12 Noon, 2-5 and 7-9 pm. William's life journey will be celebrated and remembered on Thursday, March 12 from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Coley's Point at 11 AM. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Coley's Point. In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory can be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, Coley's Point.
