Peacefully at the Dr. John M Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon, with family by his side, the passing of J. Gordon Morrison, age 82, husband of the late Shirley Jewell Gillis, occurred on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Born in Belfast, October 7, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Annie (Nicholson) Morrison.
Gordon is survived by his loving children: Sandra Hoy, Stratford, Steven (Patricia), Mount Buchanan, Graham (Priscilla), Point Prim, Erwin (Sandra), Eldon; loving grandfather of Katie Anne Rogers (Cody), Jennifer Ryan (Corey), Tyler, Trevor, Sarah, Emily, and Barbara Morrison, Michael Hoy (Jackie), Adam and Gwendolyn Morrison, and great-granddaughter, Gabriella. Brother of Eliza Gillis, Pinette; brother-in-law of Doris MacRae, Florence MacPherson, Viola Gillis and Daniel Ross. Gordon was predeceased by a son, Robert.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. Graveside service to take place in Belfast Cemetery at a later date.
