Card of Thanks
Anastasia Perehiniak
We, the family of the late Anastasia Perehiniak, wish to thank everyone who extended messages of condolence on the loss of our dear mother and Baba. We are grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent food, flowers, mass and sympathy cards, made memorial and monetary donations, phoned, visited, and sent on-line condolences. To homecare workers, staff of Waterford Heights, Glace Bay General and Victoria Haven, every act of kindness and respect given to her daily is much appreciated. Dr. Gordon Spencer was always there for her. He kept a close watch on her health and provided any help she needed over the years. Her eyes would "light up" when her doctor visited - a heartwarming connection. Fr. Norman MacPhee came late at night in blowing snow to administer last rites. V.J.McGillivray staff provided comfort and professional care with arrangements for the viewing and funeral. For the last time, Linda Spencer sang to Baba at the Parlor. Baba always said she had the voice of an angel. Thank you to all who came to Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport to pray with Fr. Daniel Boudreau, celebrant; altar servers; choir and organist; readers, granddaughters Brenda Wamback and Elisa Jenkins; pallbearers Bruce Cathcart, Joe MacDonald, Ken McGillivray, Jim McInnis, John Wamback, and Steve Zwarun. The reception servers were gracious and efficient and the lunch was lovely. Kindness is heaven sent. God's blessing to all.
