It is with great sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Chantelle Neary on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Glace Bay.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Pat and Sharon (Lockman) Neary and granddaughter of Margaret Neary.
Chantelle was a fun loving, compassionate girl with a good sense of humour. She enjoyed drawing pictures of her favourite rap stars, especially, Eminem. Chantelle also loved going for walks.
Chantelle is survived by her son, Jacob ‘Jake’; two sisters, Christina (Ryan), Karen; three brothers, Patty, Tommy (Cherise), George (Tori), all in Glace Bay. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, special uncles, Gussie MacDonald and Ray (Barb) Neary, Glace Bay.
Chantelle was predeceased by grandparents, Gerald and Gertrude Lockman, Andrew Neary and her uncle, Johnny Lockman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Dan Boudreau is Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow after the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.
