It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our dearly beloved son, brother, uncle and friend - Stephen Daniel Hunt, of St. John's (formally of Wabush, Labrador.) He will be deeply missed by his loving parents Mary (John Winter) and Gerald (Lisa); beloved sisters Karen (Trevor Rock) and Kelli (Ken Jones); his adored nieces and nephews Nicholas and Nathan Jones; Chloe, Hannah, Isabelle and Brendan Rock. Also left to mourn are his aunts and uncles Margaret (John Fitzpatrick), Millie Smith (Ray, deceased), Tom Hunt, Carmel (John Bridge), Patsy McGrath (Tony, deceased), Doug Hunt (Wanda), Mary Hunt, Shirley Hurley (Wilson) together with a large circle of cousins and friends too numerous to name. As well, his extended family Bert, Gary and Randy Winter, Susan (Jeff Moulton) and Samantha Conway; and very special friends Liz Whitten, Annette Steele (daughter Sydney), Robyn Montague and Leah Pitcher. Stephen was a larger than life personality who adored his family and doted on his nephews, Nicholas and Nathan. He was a kind and compassionate soul who was always ready to jump in and lend a helping hand. He loved the "Big Land" and the great outdoors especially his trips hunting, fishing, skidooing and going to the cabin. He was a master of many trades and excelled in many creative endeavors. He had an exuberant personality and was a friend to everyone. May he rest in peace. Flowers graciously accepted or a donation in Stephen's memory can be made to the Gathering Place in St. John's. Visitation from Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday, March 12th (7-9pm) and Friday, March 13th (10am-9pm). Funeral Mass will take place at St. Teresa's Parish (120 Mundy Pond Rd.) on Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 11a.m. Cremation to follow.
