Raymond “Clyde” Mansfield, 93 of Toronto, ON, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2015 at Toronto Western Hospital, with his nephew George A. Mansfield of Beamsville, ON, beside him. Born in Milton, Queens County, N.S., on July 1st, 1921, he was the son of the late Roland Clyde and Maggie Mable “Margaret” (Walker) Mansfield. He was a World War Two veteran. After moving to Toronto in the 50’s he was employed with the Elte Carpet Factory until retirement. At the time of his death he resided at Fairview Nursing Home in Toronto. Clyde is survived by brother Roland (Mary) of Fredericton, NB; six nieces, eight nephews and sister-in-law Jean Mansfield. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Ruth Mansfield and Amy Arthur; brothers Lawrence Roy and Herman; sister-in-law Alice and Violet and brother-in-law Harold Arthur. His body has been cremated under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Home. Donations in Clyde’s memory can be made to any charity.
