It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth MacWhirter announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband and best friend Gordon, children: Wanda (Terry) Hefford, Wayne, Peter, Joanne (Paul) Specker, Gordon jr (Paula), Lisa (Danny) Byrne, 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister: Minnie Piercey, brother: Franklin Miller, son in law: Wayne, Caregiver Laura Brown and her furry friend Max, and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Joslyn Caines, parents, sisters: Thelma, Julia, Mary, Lena, and brother: Norman Brown. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue, Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place on Monday March 23rd at 2:PM from Humber United Church Clarence Street with Reverend Andrew Wright officiating.
