It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Sharon Anna Taylor, age 61, on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital.
Sharon was born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Hayward W. and Annie Mae (Slade) Taylor.
She was employed at a local fish plant for a number of years and she was involved with the Tops program.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Paula (Jon) Milne, Halifax, Laura Lee Ashford (Darren Chisholm), Sydney Mines; her son Jason (Lisa) Ashford, Leduc, Alberta; by her grandchildren, Curtis Sheaves, Jerry Ashford, Michael Ashford, Alex Ashford, Lorna Ashford, Alisha Ashford, Thomas Cleggett, Justin Campbell, Logan Chisholm, Riley Donnelley, John Thomas Ashford; seven great-grandchildren; by her brothers, Erwin Taylor and Rayfield Taylor; also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Jaquelene Alisha Lee Ashford and a brother Ivan Taylor.
Visitation for Sharon will be held 1-3 p.m. today (Monday) in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Marjorie Serafinus officiating.
