Formerly from Waterford, Prince Edward Island, in her 94th year, died peacefully on March 19, 2015, at Maplewood Manor, Alberton.
Born October 31, 1921 in Roseville, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Roach and Winifred (Donahue) O’Brien.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Paul Urban Kenny and Roy Edward Kennedy; sister, Lillian McCarthy; and great-granddaughter, Paige Livingstone.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Helen (Cleve) MacNeill, West Devon, P.E.I.; Robert (Bev) Kennedy, Sidney, B.C.; Janet (Gerard) Knox, Halifax, N.S.; Stephen Kenny, Waterford, P.E.I.; Paula (Harvey) Mazerolle, St. Felix, P.E.I.; Patti Kenny, Yarmouth, N.S. She created cherished memories with her grandchildren, Janice (Trent) Livingstone and Carl Profit; Richard and Patrick Kennedy; Matthew, Zachary (Laura KarisAllen), Morgan Knox; Alessandra Lind-Kenny; Alexis (Kevin) Bergeron; Nicholas Mazerolle; Paul and Aaryn (Elisabetta Semboloni) Tonita. She was proud to be a great-grandmother to Matthew and Derek Profit; TJ and Casey Livingstone; Isaac Bergeron; Amelia Knox; and great-great-grandmother to Carleigh and Riley Profit. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor (late Leo) Kennedy, Kanata, Ontario, and brother William (Marie) O’Brien, Toronto, Ontario.
As a personal request, there will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, P.E.I.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, P.E.I. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the community centre.
Memorial donations to Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or IWK Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
