Turnbull, Ardith H. – Age 70 of Digby, passed away on March 18, 2015 in the presence of her loving husband of 51 years Lloyd Turnbull. Born on January 4, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Ira and Ella (Dennison) Haynes. Ardith moved to Digby at the age of 18 years to work as a telephone operator for Maritime Tel & Tel and was there until their closure. She is survived by sons Linden (Mary); Edward (Kerry); daughter Mary Ellen; three cherished grandchildren: Matthew, William, Sara; four sisters, Carol Hazlitt; Joyce (Armand) Amirault; Vera (Robert) Hudson; and Beverly (Carole) Haynes. Ardith will be remembered for her deep and unconditional love for her family and friends; a smile which brightened anyone's day, and her commitment to her church. Cremation has taken place as per her request and a Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring. Donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
