It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maggie Curnew announce her passing on Tuesday March 24th 2015 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with found and loving memories her son Joe (Lavinia) Curnew in Jefferys, her daughter Harriett Bennett in Barachois Brook, her three brothers; Lawrence Rubia in Stephenville Crossing, Marcel Rubia and Roy Rubia both in Ontario, her three sisters; Rita Keating and Coreena Nardini both in Stephenville Crossing and Winnie McFatridge in Freshwater along with three grandchildren; Vaughn, Sheldon and Sheridan, eight greatgrandchildren; EJ, Hilary, Graham, Desiree, Danika, Dakota, Stephen and Abby, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Godfrey. At the family's request, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home Station Road in Stephenville Crossing from 7-9 pm Thursday. Funeral services will take place on Friday March 27th, 2015 at 1 pm from Assumption Parish with inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Brook Street.
