COTTREAU, Christine Marie – 59, Harbourside Lodge, Yarmouth, formerly of Lower Wedgeport, where she was tenderly cared for by her mom, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born June 5, 1955 in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Jean (Perrie) Cottreau. At the age of 13 months, Christine was stricken with encephalitis which left her deaf and blind, all as a result of a mosquito bite. Surviving are siblings, Anne (Del) Richard, Arcadia; Mike Cottreau, Brampton, ON; Barbara (David) Hamilton, Lower Wedgeport, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Peter Cottreau. Funeral service was held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., from H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Wedgeport. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
