The death occurred peacefully at her home in Burleson, Texas, on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, of Bethany Elizabeth (Crane) Johnson beloved wife of SSG James Michael Johnson Jr. age 36 years. Born Dec. 24, 1972, she was the cherished daughter of Francis and Lona (nee Hunter) Crane of Summerside and formerly of Alberton. Loving mother to Ryan (12), Micaela (10) and Xander (8). Dear sister to Alan (Cindy) Crane of Charlottetown, Sharon O’Halloran of Summerside, Nancy (Paul) Pitre of Kildare Capes. Daughter-in-law of Barbara Johnson of Fort Worth,Texas, James Johnson Sr. (Velma) of Townsend, Montana. Sister-in-law to Jeanette Horton of Hurst, Texas and Blair O'Halloran of Mill River. Loving Aunt to Kristin and Kara O’Halloran, Rodney Horton, Spencer and Shawn Pitre, Carolyn and Heather Crane. Also remembered by Uncles William (late Jean) Crane of Charlottetown, and Earl (Norma) Crane of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. Cousins Jeffrey, Linda, Pam, Kent and Scott and their families. Funeral was held on Dec. 30, 2008, in the Chapel of the Mountain-Valley Funeral Home in Burleson, Texas. Now resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, P.E.I. Visiting hours Friday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, on Jan. 24, 2009, at 3 p.m. A reception to follow in the Church hall. Committal in Woodlawn Cemetery, Alberton, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the children’s trust fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
