CARTER, Reginald John – Passed away suddenly at his home in Petty Harbour on January 18, 2009, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents Roland and Leila, step-father Howard Chafe, sisters: Gwen, Beryl, Peg and brother David. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred; sons: Boyd (Connie) of Ontario and Rex (Linda); daughter Susan; sisters: Ruth (Arlie) Vick, of Arizona and Linda (Dieter) Chafe Plautz of Ontario; brothers: Clyde (Diana) Chafe of Ontario and Douglas (Joan) Chafe of Ontario; grandchildren: Jennifer (Matthew) Chafe, Heather, David, Christopher, Amanda, Kendra and Meagan; great-grandchildren: Breanna and Lucas; special friends: George and Joan Chafe of Petty Harbour; also other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
